The defendant, Gregory Wiggins, perfects this appeal from his conviction of second degree murder alleging five assignments of error.

Defendant was originally indicted for the first degree murder of Donald G. Cox. The State later amended the charge to second degree murder, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1.
