LYNCH, J.

A judge of the Superior Court granted the defendant's motion to correct an alleged clerical error in an arbitration award, and confirmed the award as corrected. The plaintiffs appealed to the Appeals Court, which reversed and dismissed the motion to correct the award because it was made more than thirty days after the award was filed. Quirk v.
