London Trent, plaintiff, appeals from the dismissal with prejudice of count I of his amended complaint for failure to state a cause of action in strict liability in tort. Plaintiff filed a two-count amended complaint alleging that he was injured while "checking the thermostat" of the heating, ventilating and air-conditioning system (HVAC) in the Dearborn Park Plaza Building in Chicago...
