On July 5, 1983, at approximately 8:45 p.m., the plaintiff, Maurice Armster, entered a women's restroom in an office complex in Riverside, California. Armster, who worked as a janitor at the office complex, allegedly entered the women's restroom to perform his janitorial duties.
