FORET, Judge.

Defendant, Wesley Lee, was charged by bill of information with the theft of money in excess of $500, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:67. Defendant plead not guilty. A unanimous six-person jury found the defendant guilty as charged. On November 16, 1984, the trial court, after denying the defense's motion for a new trial, sentenced defendant to five years at hard labor.
