No. C0-83-1888.

362 N.W.2d 309 (1985)

Basil J. PETERSON and Gladys A. Peterson, Respondents, v. James B. MARSTON and Jeannine Rinde, Petitioners.

Supreme Court of Minnesota.

February 8, 1985.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

David R. Von Holtum, Worthington, for petitioners.

C. Thomas Wilson, New Ulm, for respondents.

Heard, considered, and decided by the court en banc.

AMDAHL, Chief Justice.

We must determine whether a letter, written by respondents Basil and Gladys Peterson to the attorney for decedent Roger Lehman's estate, constituted presentment of a claim against the estate under Minn.Stat. § 524.3-804(1) (1982). The trial court found that no claim was made by the Petersons' letter. The Court of Appeals disagreed and reversed, finding that the Petersons' letter did constitute a properly presented claim.
