Nearly two centuries ago, Samuel Taylor Coleridge began his epic "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" in this familiar fashion:

It is an ancient Mariner, And he stoppeth one of three, By thy long grey beard and glittering eye, Now, wherefore stopp'st thou me?

My reaction to the "Complaint in Admiralty" filed here is similar to that of the wedding guest accosted...
