Plaintiffs, parents of children graduating this year from the defendant public school districts, bring this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 to enjoin the defendants from including invocations and benedictions in their graduation ceremonies. Plaintiffs contend that, if defendants proceed with their plans to include these forms of prayer in the graduation ceremonies, they will violate the establishment clause...
