The defendant, Lorenzo Wilson, was charged by information with four counts of murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, pars. 9-1(a)(1) and (2)), two counts of attempted murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 8-4(a)) and two counts of armed violence (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 33A-1). Following a jury trial in the circuit court of Lake County, he was found not guilty...
