On June 15, 1982 Iowa Southern Utility Company (company) filed a tariff with the Iowa State Commerce Commission (commission), detailing proposed changes in its rate structure. As in every tariff since the 1930's, this submission included a special reduced rate or discount on home utility services for employees, retirees, and certain eligible spouses of deceased employees of the company.
