In a one-count information filed in the circuit court of Randolph County, defendant, Linda L. Crow, was charged with the murder of her husband, Robert Crow. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, par. 9-1(a)(1).) Following a jury trial defendant was convicted of murder and sentenced to a term of 35 years in the penitentiary.
