McGIVERIN, Justice.

Defendant Iowa State Daily Publication Board, Inc. appeals from judgment entered on a jury verdict for plaintiff Laurie Hovey in a libel action. Upon consideration of the controlling issue presented on defendant's appeal and plaintiff's cross-appeal, we reverse and remand. We conclude that defendant's motion for directed verdict should have been sustained.
