The defendant, Paul Martinez, was charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, R.S. 14:62.2. He was arraigned and entered a plea of not guilty to the charge. On August 28, 1984, the defendant entered a plea of guilty as charged. The trial judge conducted a full Boykin colloquy and accepted the plea.
