The defendant, Elton Minnifield, was convicted of distribution of marijuana in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966. Defendant appealed his conviction and sentence, alleging trial court error in denying his motion for mistrial based upon prosecutorial references to other crimes and vouching for the credibility of a witness for the State.
