Defendant-Petitioner Michael Mato was convicted of Rape, Criminal Deviate Conduct, Theft, and Criminal Confinement, following a jury trial. He was sentenced to the Indiana Department of Corrections for a period of twenty (20) years for Rape and twenty (20) years for Criminal Deviate Conduct, said sentences to run consecutively.
