This action was brought by appellee, Gerald Lee Wilson, to recover workmen's compensation benefits from the appellant, City of North Platte. Wilson alleged he was injured while working for the city on March 16, 1983, and filed a petition with the Nebraska Workmen's Compensation Court on July 1, 1983.
