Lewis Ronald Hoffer was charged by bill of information with felony theft in violation of La.R.S. 14:67. Hoffer pled not guilty and waived his right to a jury trial. After a bench trial, the trial court found Hoffer guilty and sentenced him to serve four years in the Department of Corrections at hard labor.
