Defendant was charged by bill of information with one count of possession of marijuana, LSA R.S. 40:966, and one count of possession of cocaine, LSA R.S. 40:967. These items were found by a police officer as a result of a routine traffic stop. Defendant initially pled not guilty to both counts.
