Defendant Harry Lucas was charged by bill of information with armed robbery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64. After trial by jury, defendant was convicted as charged1 and subsequently sentenced to serve twenty-five years at hard labor under the custody of the Department of Corrections.2 He appeals his conviction and sentence, setting forth three assignments of error:
