WILNER, Judge.

First Commercial Bank sued Marvin Greenfield in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County to collect on three promissory notes. Greenfield paid two of the notes before trial but continued to resist the bank's effort to collect the third — a note for $65,000. On December 29, 1983, a jury returned a verdict for the bank in the amount of $92,378 — $65,000 principal balance, $22,378 accrued interest, and $5,000 attorneys' fees. Greenfield appeals...
