Defendants, Harry Holloway (Holloway) and Judy Jackson (Judy), were found guilty, in a jury trial, of murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 9-1(a)), and each was sentenced to 40 years' imprisonment. The victim, Alexander Jackson (Alexander), was Judy's husband.
