Plaintiff appeals as of right from an order of summary judgment in favor of the defendants in this public school employment case. We affirm.

Plaintiff was employed as an elementary school principal in the Beecher Community School District pursuant to a written contract of employment. Employment was to commence July 1, 1982, and terminate on June 30, 1984. On March 24, 1983, however, plaintiff received notice that she would be laid off effective...
