FACTS OF CASE

Defendant appeals his conviction at a jury trial of noncapital aggravated first degree murder and murder in the second degree. He was sentenced to life imprisonment without possibility of parole on the aggravated first degree murder conviction with his sentence on the murder in the second degree conviction to run concurrently. We granted direct review.
