Nature Of The Case

Defendant, Douglas D. Thompson, appeals from his conviction and sentence for two counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child, in violation of section 709.8(3) of the 1983 Iowa Code. Defendant was charged with soliciting a 12-year old boy and a 13-year old boy to "engage in a sex act for the purpose of arousing or satisfying the sexual desires of either himself or the child."
