On this appeal we are called upon to decide whether the defendant City of Beacon is required to pay to the plaintiff County of Dutchess the full amount of the taxes certified by the county upon property situated within the city or only that portion of the taxes actually collected by the city on behalf of the county. We conclude that the Beacon City Charter imposes upon the city the duty of paying the entire amount of the tax warrant issued...
