After a court trial, defendant, Mary Ann Leigh, was convicted of first degree murder (Pen. Code, § 187) and attempted robbery (Pen. Code, §§ 664/211). She was sentenced to state prison for 25 years to life for the murder (count I) and to the midterm of 2 years for the attempted robbery (count II).
