This case arises out of the Central Industrial Park project, commonly known as the Poletown Project. See generally, Poletown Neighborhood Council v Detroit, 410 Mich. 616; 304 N.W.2d 455 (1981). Among the parcels condemned by the city was Parcel 899, located at Chene and the I-94 Expressway and improved by a Boron Oil Company gas station.
