This is an appeal by the State from an order of the circuit court entered during a bench trial denying the State's motion for a continuance. The motion was made after the victim, who was first prosecution witness, had testified. After the motion was denied, the State declined to participate further in the trial; however, defendants then put on an alibi defense supported by the testimony...
