This is an appeal from a judgment in favor of Michael D. Maskrey (Maskrey) for compensatory damages in the total amount of $474,198.17 including costs and interest, and in favor of Jane Z. Maskrey (Jane) in the amount of $30,047.88 for compensatory damages. The United States government and the United States Automobile Association also had separate judgments for the medical expenses paid on behalf of Maskrey.
