Appellant and a co-defendant were tried for two counts of felony theft by taking and eight counts of misdemeanor theft by taking. The State sought to prove that appellant and her co-defendant had used their business, Paragon Financial Services, to perpetrate the crimes. The evidence showed that numerous customers had paid money to Paragon, but had never received the agreed consideration therefor or a refund...
