Appellant, Ambrose Stanley Carter, was convicted of two counts of armed robbery, A.R.S. § 13-1904, class 2 felonies, and one count of aggravated assault, A.R.S. § 13-1204, a class 3 felony. The jury found that each of appellant's crimes was a dangerous offense. The jury also found that appellant had a prior conviction in Ohio for armed robbery. See Ohio Rev.
