On October 16, 1984, the Circuit Court for Baltimore County denied Edward L. Blanton, Jr.'s request for a continuance in a pending civil action. On October 19, Blanton appealed the denial to this court. Equitable Bank, National Association, the adverse party in that case, immediately countered with a motion to dismiss the appeal.
