The respondent mother's parental rights were terminated in proceedings before the trial court following a finding of neglect by a state trial referee. On appeal the respondent claims that the trial court erred (1) in applying an incorrect standard of proof to the parental termination proceeding, (2) in finding adequate evidence on which to base termination, and (3) in applying an improper "best interest" standard to the termination proceeding.
