Robert Seidel and Charlotte Baggerman purchased a home. A promissory note secured by a mortgage was given in partial payment. The note provided for interest-only payments for a period of three years, at which time the principal in full would come due. The purchasers defaulted when the principal came due, and the sellers commenced foreclosure proceedings in state court.
