An order to show cause issued in July 1981, alleged that petitioner Kahlenberg remained in the United States longer than authorized and was therefore deportable pursuant to Section 241(a)(2) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, 8 U.S.C. § 1251(a)(2). After a deportation hearing, the immigration judge found petitioner deportable and denied his request for relief from deportation based on his application for adjustment...
