This is an appeal by the State of Hawaii of an Order Granting Defendant's Motion to Suppress Evidence filed on February 13, 1984. The trial court concluded the warrantless seizure of a purse illegal because it was effected without probable cause or exigent circumstances. It also invalidated the subsequent seizure of a quaalude tablet as a product of the initial illegal seizure of the purse. For the reasons...
