Defendant, the Secretary of State, appeals as a matter of right from a lower court order denying his motion to set aside a default judgment. We affirm.

Plaintiff, a resident of Indiana, filed suit in Ingham County Circuit Court and alleged that he was injured as a result of the use, operation, maintenance, or ownership of a motor vehicle.
