The facts giving rise to this litigation are gratifyingly simple. The district court's unchallenged findings reflect that six cases of tire parts belonging to C.A. Articulos Nacionales de Goma Gomaven (Gomaven) were loaded aboard the M/V ARAGUA at New Orleans for shipment to La Guaira, Venezuela. A clean "on board" bill of lading was issued.
