YOUNG, Judge.

Defendant appeals his conviction for possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), ORS 475.992(4), arguing that, under State v. Lowry, 295 Or. 337, 667 P.2d 996 (1983), the trial court erred in denying his motion to suppress certain evidence. We agree and reverse.
