After appealing his conviction and seeking collateral relief in the Louisiana state courts, Watson filed the instant petition in federal district court seeking habeas corpus relief, 28 U.S.C. § 2254, from his execution scheduled for the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 19, 1985.
