Defendant, Randy C. Smith, was charged by a bill of information for the crime of armed robbery in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64. On January 9, 1984, jury selection began for the defendant's trial. On January 11, 1984, a twelve member jury found the defendant guilty as charged. The verdict was unanimous.
