The defendant, Devone Davis, was charged by bill of information with one count of simple burglary, a violation of La.R.S. 14:62, and two counts of felony theft, violations of La.R.S. 14:67. Pursuant to a plea bargain agreement, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to the crime of simple burglary and the State dismissed the two counts of felony theft.
