Following a bifurcated trial by jury, Defendant (Appellant) was convicted of burglary, a class B felony, Ind. Code § 35-43-2-1 (Burns 1984 Cum.Supp.), robbery, a class C felony, Ind. Code § 35-42-5-1 (Burns 1984 Cum.Supp.), and was determined to be an habitual offender, see Ind. Code § 35-50-2-8 (Burns 1984 Cum.Supp.). The trial judge sentenced him to enhanced terms of twenty (20) years and eight (8) years imprisonment on the burglary...
