Plaintiff Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals (S.P.A.) appeals from the summary judgment entered in the Superior Court (Cumberland County) denying S.P.A.'s claim of a statutory lien under 17 M.R.S.A. § 1211 (1983) (the cruelty-to-animals statute) on ten horses owned by defendants Earl and Joy Warren of Chesterville.
