This action arises out of an automobile accident involving the plaintiff Julie Marr and the defendant. After a trial in the Superior Court, Somerset County, the jury awarded Julie Marr $3,180. The plaintiffs moved for a new trial on the grounds of inadequate damages and juror misconduct. The presiding justice denied the motion insofar as it relied upon juror misconduct, but ruled that he would order a new trial based upon inadequate damages unless...
