Jeannie Ellen Pittman, wife of and Joseph Dale Bordelon (plaintiffs) filed suit on December 14, 1981, against Louis G. Miramon, Jr. (defendant). Plaintiffs' petition was styled "Petition for Damages for Breach of Contract and/or Negligence." Issue was joined on February 19, 1982, when defendant filed his answer.
