This appeal involves a personal injury action grounded in strict liability.

On January 10, 1979, Michael Troja accidentally amputated his thumb while he was operating a radial arm saw manufactured by Black and Decker Manufacturing Company, Inc. He instituted suit in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County against Black and Decker in both negligence and strict liability. The negligence count was voluntarily withdrawn prior to trial....
