This appeal arises out of a suit filed by plaintiff, Central Gulf Electrical Contractors, Inc. (Central Gulf), against the defendants, M.P. Dumesnil Construction Co., Inc. (Dumesnil) and its surety, Continental Casualty Company, for sums allegedly due plaintiff under a contract to perform electrical subcontracting work on the St. Martin Water Wells Project in St. Martinville, Louisiana.
