The issue on this appeal is whether a trial court may impose bail as a condition of release under sec. 969.01(2)(b), Stats., which provides that after a conviction for a misdemeanor, "release shall be allowed upon appeal." We conclude that a trial court may properly impose bail as a condition of a release of and affirm.1
