This is a criminal case in which the sentence was for more than 30 years. Our jurisdiction arises from Supreme Court and Court of Appeals Rule 29(1)(b).

John Wesley Scott was found guilty of rape in violation of Ark.Stat.Ann. § 41-1803(1)(c) (Repl.1977), and of carnal abuse in the first degree in violation of Ark.Stat. Ann. § 41-1804(1) (Repl.1977).
